Breast & Cervical Cancer Prevention program in Personal Health at the Garrett County Health Department is a state and federally funded program to increase the breast and cervical cancer screening levels. The program can pay for the clinical breast exam by your own provider, a Pap test (as indicated), and a mammogram. It will also cover diagnostic tests, like a breast ultrasound and biopsy, along with further diagnostic tests for the cervix, like a colposcopy.
Eligibility: Garrett County female resident between 40-64 years of age, be either uninsured or underinsured (high deductible, co-pay), and under 250% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.
