GRMC’s regional behavioral health center, Health & Wellness Services, provides comprehensive behavioral health counseling and addictions treatment. The center will offer these services for people throughout GRMC’s three-state, eight-county service area. Provided in conjunction with the WVU Medicine Department of Behavioral Health & Psychiatry, the staff at the center includes a Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Masters Level Addiction Counselors, Masters Level Social Worker and a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Patients seeking services at the center receive primary care health screenings, such as blood pressure and body mass index checks, in addition to counseling care. By integrating primary care screenings with comprehensive behavioral health services, Health & Wellness of GRMC seeks to ensure that people struggling with behavioral health issues also have access to the primary care services that can help them lead healthier lives. This holistic approach to care reflects Garrett Regional Medical Center’s mission of striving to treat each patient like family.
Walk-in clients are welcome; sessions with individual counselors also available by appointment.
