Problem Statement
The Resource Guide is a great asset, but it had barriers to access for those without digital devices (phone, laptop, computer, etc...)
Aim / Overall Goal / Desired Result
Increase the number of Garrett County stakeholders that have access to the digital Resource Guide by providing data kits for printing, or use in other applications.
Change Idea
Providing accessible formats for Resource Guide data will make information more readily available for those without Internet.

Describe what happened when you ran the test:
- System Improvements:
- The final export preparations were completed on 1/19/2023. The fields had to be mapped with additional separators due to the complex labeling for categories, tags, and keyword associations.
- Digital Improvements:
- The API database is taking slightly longer to produce due to the storage constraints on large datasets. We are evaluating our options to make sure we are able to serve live records to EMRs/EHRs without exceeding server limitations. Current considerations are for utilizing the WP REST API to serve live/monthly exports of data for digitally-enabled applications and systems. Based on the number of predicted calls, we want to make sure that any system can retrieve up to five records per second without enduring additional system costs.
- Print Improvements:
- The Garrett County Digital Resource Guide database is now properly formatted (as of 1/19/2023) , and can be utilized for mail merge and other printing mechanisms upon request. Documentation on how to self-print, bind as a printable document, and include in other printed works (including custom reports) will be created once the digital API is completed.
- CSV/API Access
- The initial CSV source has been compiled and is now available on a public repository at: https://github.com/garrettcountyapps/Garrett-County-Resource-Guide for anyone to begin incorporating the GCRG data into any new or existing projects.
