The annual Garrett County Job Fair is open to the entire Garrett County (and surrounding) community, including college and high school students, entry-level candidates, and experienced candidates. This event is designed to connect EMPLOYERS with JOB SEEKERS. The jobs that may be discussed include: Full-time, Seasonal, Part-time, Immediate, Summer, and Future Hires. The Job Fair is a partnership of Garrett College, the Allegany County One-Stop Job Center, the Western Maryland Consortium, 104.5 KHJ, 92Q, & 1050 AM WMSG, and All Ad Media. Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease in Garrett County

An Education Program by the Alzheimer’s Association If you or someone you know is affected by Alzheimer’s disease or dementia, the time for legal and financial planning is now. Legal and Financial Planning for Alzheimer’s Disease is a workshop, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, for anyone who would like to know more about what legal financial issues to consider and how to put plans in place.

MPT Broadcast – Breaking Heroin’s Grip/Road to Recovery

The Behavioral Health Administration has partnered with Maryland Public Television (MPT) to create an hour long program​,​ Breaking Heroin’s Grip: Road to Recovery, that will be simultaneously broadcast over 24 TV and radio stations on February 11th at 7:00 PM The program shares the story of three Marylanders who suffer with a ​s​ubstance ​u​se ​d​isorder and their path to recovery. A 20 minute phone bank section will highlight the State’s Crisis Hotline team. The crisis hotline 1-800 number will flash on the screen during the hour long program.
