    We need to work on finding a facility for the homeless and then figure out the federal grants from there. which Im under the impression community Action is working on the start up grants for a homeless shelter. A facility Needs to be found first. We as garrett county need to stop sending our homeless out of county since we cant afford to put them in a hotel. once we have “sent” these people out of county we are pushing the stats and data we need to achieve proper grants away from our community.

      Thanks for your input, Andy! Homelessness is a complex issue that we certainly need to view from a variety of perspectives and that is one of the purposes of this tool. The other is collecting data. This group has a raw data section that enables agencies to collect data to help us track the issue. We need more people like you involved to help set measures so that we have the data available to everyone for planning, seeking funding, etc..
