Mountain Laurel Medical Center would choose our DSME (Diabetes Self Management Education) program as a tracking measure. We already track patient successes and report them yearly to the AADE. Our clinical goal for this year is that all patients who complete the 10 class DSME program will lower their fasting blood glucose level 5%.

Absolutely Shelley. Resources are available to hold the classes. Referrals are what we need.

Shout out to Mitzi and Victoria from the Diabetes program at GRMC who let us know that they are actively holding classes (evidence- based lifestyle change programs) various target populations and what they need most are physician referrals!  Anne Langley’s next meeting isn’t until next week so please jump on and let us know your thoughts.

Hey Everyone! Take a look at the new data in DOC’s. We will be discussing it at our next virtual meeting on June 3. Our data is telling us that parents and youth are most interested in addressing behavioral health. The next meeting will be centered on that topic with a special speaker to address the services offered in Garrett County.
