The Garrett County Behavioral Health Authority has worked with 76 individuals, since July 1, 2017, who were homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Of those 76 individuals, 45 were enrolled in the Projects for Assistance in Transition from Homelessness (PATH) program, facilitated through our office. As in year’s past, being able to locate affordable, safe, and adequate housing for vulnerable adult populations, including families, continued to be a priority.
We partner with a variety of other community based agencies in working with individuals who are literally homeless or at-risk in becoming homeless. The community agencies include Garrett Community Action, Inc.; Garrett County Department of Human Services (DHS); Garrett County Health Department; and most of the public and private rental agencies in Garrett County.
