In today’s meeting we discussed the Maryland State Health improvement Process (SHIP) indicator about adolescent wellness visits.
The measure is defined this way:
This indicator reflects the percentage of adolescents (ages 13-20 years old) enrolled in Medicaid (320+ days) who received at least one well child visit during the past year.

This workgroup has been expansive in ways to address many issues relating to adolescent wellness! I appreciate you sharing this background from the meeting. It is still so concerning that our county ranks so poorly in this area. I’m hopeful that all of the work being accomplished now will help us improve. Thank you for your continued leadership around this important measure.
