National Influenza Vaccination Week: December 1 – 7, 2019. It’s not too late to get your flu vaccine this season. Flu vaccine helps reduce your risk of hospitalization and death from influenza complications. Older adults, children under age 5, and persons with medical conditions such as heart or lung disorders, diabetes, cancer, HIV/AIDS, kidney or liver disease can be especially vulnerable to the ravages of the flu. Pregnant women should also get vaccinated against the flu to protect themselves and their unborn baby. Consult your doctor, pharmacy, or local health department to get it done!
