Child and Adolescent Wellness Workgroup 7 years, 2 months agoIn today’s meeting we discussed the Maryland State Health improvement Process (SHIP) indicator about adolescent wellness visits.
The measure is defined this way:
This indicator reflects the percentage of adolescents (ages 13-20 years old) enrolled in Medicaid (320+ days) who received at least one well child visit during the past year.You can…[Read more]

This workgroup has been expansive in ways to address many issues relating to adolescent wellness! I appreciate you sharing this background from the meeting. Adolescent Well Child Checks 7 years, 2 months agoBecky Aiken shared sample health related documents from Power School, the software used within GC Public Schools. I am uploading them so that we can become familiar with the kinds of health related data they are collecting, and to brainstorm other data points we would value if collected.

Influenza Vaccine 7 years, 2 months agoLooks like flu activity is increasing and it won’t be long until we see more cases right here in Garrett County. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention just released a report stating that as of December 15, the nation is seeing more flu-like illness and, sadly, 7 pediatric deaths related to influenza so far this season.
