The leaders and innovators at the Health Department recently launched a new initiative titled “Treat Obesity First” to equip healthcare providers with the best and most current evidence-based treatment tools to combat the obesity and diabetes epidemic. This is part of a multifaceted approach to address systemic issues in our community. Led by Health Strategist Shelley Argabrite, this collaborative effort secured grant funding for this ambitious initiative designed to strengthen our providers at no cost.
Professionals from other disciplines have also expressed an interest in education and best practices. We are collecting contact information for anyone who is not a prescribing provider, but who interacts with the community and wants to become more knowledgeable about obesity and its impact on our community. Email [email protected] to be placed on the interest list for non-prescribing providers.
