The Maryland Code of Regulations indicates what medical conditions should be reported, who should report, how reporting should occur, where reports are sent, and reporting timelines. Healthcare providers, healthcare institutions, medical laboratories, schools, child care providers,, owners or operators of a food service facility in Maryland are required to report these infectious diseases to the local health department with outbreaks being an immediate report.
