Data Narrative

Measures 1 - 4 are from the AHEC West Health Insurance Program that provides free in-person assistance with the Maryland Health Connection Health Insurance Marketplace. While we have set the trend to "increase," these are measures of program activity which have normal seasonal periods of increase and decrease.

Appointments = number of face-to-face encounters with a navigator.
Phone Calls = number of inbound calls to AHEC West Health Insurance Program. This measure cannot be broken down by county so it includes calls from Allegany, Garrett & Washington counties.
Eligibility Determinations = the number of health insurance applications submitted to the Maryland Health Connection marketplace.
Estimated Enrollments = the number of submitted applications where a health insurance plan was selected. This is an estimate because not every consumer who selects a health insurance plan will effectuate coverage.
