The Environmental Health Office is responsible for testing the water and issuing Certificates of Potability on all new wells drilled in the county for the purpose of human consumption. Environmental Health also handles the request for water testing of residential wells to ensure the public has safe drinking water. This office routinely tests food establishments, campgrounds, mobile home parks, and Transient Non-Community (TNC) systems on a private water supply. In addition to water sampling and testing, Environmental Health performs routine inspections of licensed well drillers and Transient Non-Community water systems.
