Celebrating the Arts- Spring Events

Celebrate the Arts with Friendsville Library’s Spring Events.  Please note that the March 22 event had been cancelled due to an unfortunate combination of circumstances.

Our next event is crocheting with Bethany on Saturday March 28, 10 am-2 pm.

Our big event is Saturday April 18 with an Reception, Open House in the library and an Art Show & Sale in the town hall.  We have a group of five photographs of Garrett County taken by Jim Lawrence that were donated by his widow, Louise.  We plan on hanging the photos in the Library at 9:30.  Jeff Lawrence,his brother is going to give a short talk on photography hints and then offer one-on-one help at 10 am.  At 11 am is storytelling with Ina Hicks.

The Art Show & Sale will be in the town hall 9 am to 2 pm.  Friendsville artists are welcome.  Applications are available by calling 301-746-5663 or emailing [email protected].  There is no charge to enter.  LOCAL STUDENTS ARE WELCOME TO ENTER.
