The Behavioral Health Administration has partnered with Maryland Public Television (MPT) to create an hour long program, Breaking Heroin’s Grip: Road to Recovery, that will be simultaneously broadcast over 24 TV and radio stations on February 11th at 7:00 PM The program shares the story of three Marylanders who suffer with a substance use disorder and their path to recovery. A 20 minute phone bank section will highlight the State’s Crisis Hotline team. The crisis hotline 1-800 number will flash on the screen during the hour long program. Copycat Ad Be Just Like Them! Teams of adult and child volunteers support the Just Like You! Program by recording ads at the local radio station. Kids enjoy talking into the big microphone, and hearing their voice played back to them from the radio equipment.
