I just joined the 2017 Flu Season Group. What can I do to help crystallize the common agenda or help the group go forward? I saw that Mt. Laurel started the walk in flu shot clinic this past Wednesday, 9/20. I have to go to the Health Department today–so I am going to stop by and get a flu shot as well. About 5-6 years ago I didn’t get a flu shot. Previously it never seemed to matter whether I got a flu shot or not; I never got the flu. But that year I got the flu–and it is no picnic!!! I was SO-O-O sick. I could hardly get to the bathroom which was next to my bedroom. In fact, I could not even stand up without help. This scared the heck out of my family because I just am not often sick at all. So, I am telling everyone that the flu (I call it the FLU-flu; the influenza, real flu) is not a bad cold. It makes a person really, really sick and older people or people less well than I am might not live through it. SO GO GET A FLU SHOT!
