In a Steering Committee meeting I was involved in this morning, we were notified about a new drug that is starting the make its way into the county, Carfentanil and how dangerous it is.
My question is, many EMT’s, home visitors, school workers, DSS, enter homes in this county with a known drug use…
Is there a way that we can get information of new drugs, what to look for entering homes, and other news about drugs in our county so instead of walking blindly into these homes we can be more prepared.
Like does the Police notify the Health Department or how does this information gets know to some, so that all others can also know?
I am only asking because knowledge is power and I feel the more we know about these things the better prepared we can be.
