On March 15, 2021, interested parties met virtually to discuss a “Green Campaign” for child mental health awareness. Mary Van Sickle informed us that May is Mental Health Month. Kimi Scott-McGreevy said that the hospital would plan a series of posts for Facebook and Instagram, both specifically for the hospital and in general to inform the community. Other entities were encouraged to do the same. Laura Robinson suggested handing out literature (list of mental health providers, emotional first aid pamphlet) May 1, at the Farmers’ Market, and she offered to gather material and to man that. We considered putting out a PSA on the radio stations, as well as an article in the Republican. Amber said that she would try to get the Wellspring office to have staff wear green, and we will look at getting other offices to do that as well.
Becky Aiken suggested that they try to get the schools involved by having staff and students wear green. She will get back to us about a day for the schools and offices to wear green. We will meet again April 5, at 8AM.
