On January 19, Dr. Sisler, Mary Van Sickle and I met with the County Commissioners, gave a history of our Work Group and what we’ve worked on, then some specifics about our current Behavioral Health initiative. On January 21, Dr. Sisler, Amber King and I met with Paul Edwards and his athletic directors and trainers to discuss “sports physicals” vs wellness physicals. We came up with some practical ideas that will be implemented, which will hopefully get more kids in for wellness physicals. On February 9 Mary Van Sickle and I (and probably one or two others) will meet with the Board of Education to give a similar presentation that we gave to the Commissioners, perhaps with more emphasis on Behavioral Health.
