Paul called the Board of Health meeting to order and Steve called the Health Planning Council meeting to order at 8:05 a.m. through Google Meets. The meeting was held virtually using Google Meets.

The April 23, 2020 HPC meeting minutes were approved as submitted.

STATUS OF HEALTH

Bob presented the Status of Health, please see attached.

AGENCY UPDATES

GCHD – The most recent Governor’s Executive Order was announced yesterday and part of the order allows for outdoor dining.  Environmental Health is reviewing and interpreting the guidelines for restaurants.  Bob clarified that the Health Officer can make the Governor’s orders more restrictive, but cannot make things less restrictive than the original order. The Health General article of the Annotated Code of Maryland requires the Health Officer to take an oath to enforce the public health laws of Maryland.

With no further business to discuss, Paul adjourned the Board of Health meeting and Steve adjourned the HPC meeting at 9:11 a.m.  The next HPC meeting is scheduled for June 25 at 8:00 a.m.
