A new online Garrett County Food Resource Map is now available to help residents quickly find food pantries, free meals, delivery services, and other emergency food resources throughout Garrett County.
Available at GarrettCountyFood.org, the mobile-friendly tool allows users to search and filter resources by location, type of service, days available, and whether a resource is currently open. Users can also view resources on an interactive map, find contact information and hours, and get directions.
The website was developed through the support of volunteers sponsored by the Garrett County Local Management Board and the Maryland Department of Health. The project is designed to make information about local food assistance easier to find and use, including for residents accessing the site by phone or using assistive technology.
Residents and community organizations are encouraged to visit GarrettCountyFood.org and share the resource with anyone who may need food assistance. Corrections and suggestions for additional food resources can also be submitted through the website.
