Data Narrative

6/30/2025 June- A presentation was also done for 16 Community Action INC. employees and 1 Garrett College staff member. In addition the presentation was provided to 5 Garrettland Inc. employees. 1 LOFR was conducted in this quarter and a workplan was developed with one recommendation to partner with the local vacation rental companies to become a "prevention partner". 1 presentation was not able to be conducted due to scheduling conflicts- however, "resource packets" for the Community School Workers (GCPS) have been made and once the group returns to work the ARPA coordinator will distribute the materials and offer the presentation again. May -1 next of Kin Interview was conducted 6/6/2025 2 presentations to End Stigma were conducted for DSS Staff (24 attended) and Resource Parents (9 attended)-24 pledges were collected. 4/7/2025 End Stigma Pledge completed at the GC Health Fair 232 pledges were collected and 225 Do I Stigmatize Others? clipboards were handed out. 3/21/2025 1 LOFRT Meeting conducted with one action plan created Sub-Committee formed to help with Next Of Kin interview questions- NOK interviews will be scheduled in Q4 Quarter 2 1/17/2025 1 LOFRT meeting was conducted, and one action plan was created. A “Do Not Use Alone” Campaign and Talking Points for Family/Friends Prevention Education was completed by Alisha Martin (Harm Reduction Coordinator). Alisha Martin was also trained as a Next-of- Kin Interviewer. 1 Stigma Presentation was completed at Garrett County Lighthouse INC. with the transportation department (8 participants). Quarter 1 10/15/2024 LOFRT met once- an action plan was developed based on the recommendations from the team. Action plan included 1. The substance use Prevention Supervisor will reach out to the Department of Social Services to see what the procedure is for making connections to youth affected by a family member’s overdose. 2. The State Attorney will establish the protocol for follow-up care for families. He will also add an agenda item to the upcoming Overdose Prevention Team and Drug-Free Communities Coalition meetings. 3. Deputy Health Officer will gather more information on fentanyl analogs, as well as bromazepam, and share how Garrett County may be affected CHALLENGES: Retirement of the Program Administrator and change in staff have delayed efforts to move forward. The current Supervisor is working towards gaining access to the CRISP Dashboard and proper training and orientations have been scheduled to be completed in Q2 .
