Increasing community/provider awareness of GCHD rapid HIV testing capabilities will result in increased rapid HIV testing.

1. Post HIV education/information on MyGarrettCounty.com and social media
2. Craft HIV rapid test promotional postcard-size cards
3.  Distribute cards to community providers/partners
4. Contact Garrett College to set up promotional tables/testing events

STUDY

Describe the measured results, and how they compared to the predictions:

• Efforts were concentrated on the rapid HIV testing events at Garrett College: networking, promotional cards/leaflets/flyers distributed, and email blasts by student activities director.
• Rapid tests performed: FY 22 QI: 3 HIV; FY22 Q2: 9 HIV & 1 HCV
• Participating in GC 10/28/21 "Spooky Afternoon" event yielded more participants (8 students)
• Rescheduled November Garrett College event to 12/1/21
• Prep for events more intensive than expected, but provides a base for future events

ACT

Describe what modifications in the plan will be made for the next cycle from what you learned:

What worked:

• Promotion (email, flyers, and leaflets) focused specifically on testing event
• Linking with activity already scheduled at Garrett College

Challenge areas:

• Time and effort directed towards GC event was effective, but still need to build a base of information on MyGarrettCounty.com

Revision of PDSA Cycle #2 will focus on:

• Continuing intensive promotion of scheduled testing events and building partnerships with local medical and behavioral health providers to encourage referrals for rapid testing services.
• Contacting community groups to schedule rapid testing events
• Posting regularly on My GarrettCounty.com
• Scheduling and promotion of weekly rapid testing offering at GCHD
