Windows and Doors Through Time

To start I would like to see if there is any input I can garner from the 5 communities to be included in my art project. Friendsville, Oakland, Kitzmiller, Grantsville, Accident. I am looking for interesting windows or doors in these towns that hopefully are historic in nature or at least have some nice design features that would look nice in black and white photography. In addition these doors or windows ideally would look out over a nice view that encompasses a  fair bit of terrain so that over the years changes to the view would appear. If anyone would like to suggest a particular door or window they can email me the address. my email [email protected] __________________________________________________________ Project Name: Windows and Doors Through Time Date of Exhibiiton to Be Announced (April) Leader: Crede Calhoun Open to Public: YES Description: This project is to capture views of a moment in time from the following communities, Oakland, Friendsville, Kitzmiller, Accident and Grantsville. I will travel to each community and take a photo of the exterior of a window or door. I will be looking for older windows/doors that have some character. I will then stand at the window/door facing away from the window or door and take a picture of the view from that window or door. Out of foam core I will create a box that has the color photograph view inside the box, and on the outside of the box in black and white the photograph print of the window or door. The box will be designed so the the window or door can be open with flaps revealing the view from the window/door. These boxes will be made of foam core and made to display on a wall. The idea is to capture the moment in history and over time the views from the boxes will change and maybe even the door/window will be demolished or changed. These will become public art and a show at the library in Oakland will be held to display them. After that they will be given to each community to hang in the town halls or wherever they deem suitable or returned to the artist.
