Dataset Formatting

Optimal data formatting includes the following:

• For tabular data, single sheet CSVs are the most adaptable format for agency use that prevents a plethora of defects in data integrity maintenance.
• For relational data, standard SQL exports are preferred for clarity and adaptability in agency and planning use.
• For unstructured data available via web publishing, HTML resources are preferred to prevent inaccuracies and to limit the amount of time needed to provide resources for community use.
