Nurturing Family Class

New class begins September 26, 2017.  Classes held each Tuesday and Thursday for 11 sessions.   The Nurturing Family class is an innovative program designed to empower and support families by providing you with the tools to guide you in your journey through parenting. From peaceful conflict resolution skills to decision making and planning, the Nurturing Family class will ensure you have the skills to handle challenging family issues of today.  Scholarships are available.

From peaceful conflict resolution skills to decision making and planning, the Nurturing Family class will ensure you have the skills to handle challenging family issues of today. April 4, 2017-June 13, 2017 at Garrett College. Tuition assistance is available.

Judy Center Playgroups

Garrett County Judy Center Playgroups – for children ages birth to 4, promotes developmentally-appropriate activities, socialization and school readiness skills. The Judy Center playgroups are fun; children will participate in playtime, songs, puppets, stories, crafts, snacks, and receive a free book. No cost and no registration required. For more information call the Judy Center at 301-334-4211. Playgroups will be held in January at the following schools: Broad Ford Elementary- Friday, January 6th – 9:45th -11:00 am Crellin Elementary School- Monday, January 9th – 9:45-11:00 am Friendsville Elementary- Wednesday, January 11th – 9:45-11:00 am Yough Glades Elementary School- Tuesday, January 17th- 10:00-11:15 am Grantsville Elementary School- Thursday, January 19th- 9:45- 11:00 am * If schools are closed or delayed due to weather the playgroups will be canceled.
