125 Virginia Avenue Cumberland Maryland 21502 US

Housing related services include emergency assistance and placement, transitional living arrangements and assistance in finding permanent housing through apartment finding and credit arrangements.

Other services include guidance on working with child support agencies, domestic violence referral, parenting classes, advanced training or skill development and money management. In addition, HRDC’s Office of Housing Opportunities works with customers to access public benefits that they are eligible for as they can be critical services need by those transitioning from homelessness. While these support services can help stabilize situations that might otherwise lead to homelessness, those in need may be unaware of their eligibility for these services and how to tap into them.

HRDC’s Transitional Housing Shelter: HRDC operates a 14-bed transitional housing shelter for homeless women and homeless women and their children. Residents of the shelter may reside for up to 24 months to three months and receive intensive case management to help transition from homeless to self-sufficient.
