Our team name for the 1 Billion Steps Challenge sponosred by the American Public Health Association is Thrive Garrett County, it’s easy to join!
The Challenge begins Jan. 1, 2018, with a goal of reaching 1 billion collective steps by APHA’s National Public Health Week celebration, which takes place the first week of April. We know you can do it — in fact, last year’s Challenge surpassed 2 billion steps!
Goal: Increase Physical Activity
Primary Focus Area: Chronic Diseases and their common risk factors: lack of physical activity, poor nutrition, and tobacco use
