Influenza Virus Widespread in Maryland

According to the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene FluWatch, there is widespread geographic identification of Influenza throughout Maryland as of early January.  What you can do:

1.  Get vaccinated – it’s not too late (Go to your local health department, health care provider or pharmacy)
2.   Wash your hands frequently
3.   Stay home from work or play if you are sick
4.   Cover your mouth and nose during a cough or sneeze
5.   Keep your hands away from your face
6.   Stay away from people who are sick when possible
